Everything rides on you.
Everything rides on you, from the credit cards and the loans to the investors, your staff, and whoever called in sick this morning. Nobody tells you that when you buy the land or take over a business, and there's really no community to lean on either. On top of that you're learning org charts, housekeeping standards, which booking engine to use, which tools to trust, the WhatsApp line, the iMessage line, all of it.
If you build the temple, they will come. They don't.
So about 20 days out you turn on Facebook and Google, hire a Booking.com consultant, and start pulling levers to shake some trees. How do I know this? I've been there. I built re:center from scratch with no investors and zero experience in construction or running a hotel.
I can help.
